Lowdown – Antidote (Limited Edition CD + DVD)

The "Deep Dive" Details:

  • The DVD Content (The Main Draw): The bonus DVD is titled "The Making of Antidote." It is a high-value item for fans of Frog Leap Studios because it shows a young Leo Moracchioli engineering the album. It includes "Behind the Scenes" studio footage, the music video for the title track "Antidote," and live footage from their 2005 Norwegian tour dates.

  • The Digipak Packaging: Unlike the standard jewel case, the 2-disc version was primarily issued in a 4-panel gatefold Digipak. Because these are made of cardboard, they are prone to "shelf wear" on the corners. A copy with sharp corners and no "white" showing on the edges is a significant collector's upgrade.

  • The "Double" Matrix: To be a genuine set, the discs should match these codes:

    • CD Matrix: BLNCD 009#-1 (The "#-1" confirms it is disc one of the set).

    • DVD Matrix: BLNCD 009#-2 (The "#-2" confirms the companion disc).

  • The "d:centia" Logo: Both discs should feature the d:centia stamp in the hub. This was the premier Scandinavian pressing plant used for high-end limited editions in the mid-2000s.

  • Production Pedigree: Even on this limited version, the mix by Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah) is the standout feature. The DVD contains segments where they discuss the mixing process at Dug Out Studios in Sweden, which is "holy grail" info for gear-heads and metal producers
