Do It Good sees KC and The Sunshine Band stepping beyond their pure disco roots into a slick blend of funk, soul, and late-’70s pop. While still driven by tight rhythms and polished grooves, the album leans into a smoother, more mature sound, reflecting the group’s evolution as the disco era began to shift. Though often overlooked compared to their earlier smash releases, Do It Good offers an interesting snapshot of the band experimenting with style while maintaining their trademark sense of rhythm and dancefloor appeal. Special note: this album represents one of the group’s later studio efforts before major changes in popular music moved disco out of the mainstream spotlight.
