Background & Production Recorded during the band's "farewell" tour in 1984, Real Live captures the Sunnyboys at their most raw and bittersweet. Produced by the band and mixed at Studios 301 in Sydney, the album serves as a document of a group that was physically and mentally exhausted but still musically formidable. By this stage, frontman Jeremy Oxley’s health was in decline, yet his guitar playing and vocal delivery on these tracks are often cited by fans as some of his most emotive. The record was released shortly after the band officially disbanded, cementing their legacy as one of the most influential Australian guitar bands of the early 80s.
